VTech makes two rather different kinds of products that many parents come to know at different stages: baby monitors for keeping watch over a sleeping or napping baby, and electronic toys built around lights, sounds and interactive play for babies and toddlers who are exploring the world.

On the monitoring side, the range includes both audio and video options, so you can choose a simple sound-only monitor or one that also lets you see your baby's cot from another room. On the toy side, VTech's pieces are designed to hold a little one's attention through sound, movement and repetition, useful for everything from tummy time to early walking. Because the two sides of the range solve different problems, it's worth thinking about which stage or need you're shopping for before you choose.
