Made from a soft stretch knit and shaped for everyday use, it offers three carrying positions and is suitable for babies from 0 to 3 years (3.5–15 kg) — so it's built to carry you through a long stretch of the babywearing journey rather than a single stage.

If you're looking for a versatile carrier for settling a baby, moving through busy or narrow spaces, or getting out and about without a stroller, the Terra Nova gives you body-to-body closeness in a design that's easy to fold down and store when you're not using it.

Three ways to carry

The Terra Nova can be worn three ways, so you can choose the position that suits your baby's stage and what you're doing:

Front carry, facing inward — keeping baby snug against your chest.

Front carry, facing outward — for when baby is ready to take in the world around them.

Back carry — a practical option as your child grows heavier.

Because the right position depends on your baby's weight, head control and ability to sit unsupported, it's worth checking that each carry suits your baby's stage before you use it.

Comfort for baby and for you

The soft stretch knit fabric gives a secure, close fit, while the ergonomic design features an adjustable, breathable seat set in an M-position, which is intended to support comfort and posture as baby sits. For the wearer, wide padded shoulder straps and an adjustable waist belt work together to spread baby's weight more evenly across your back and shoulders, helping to reduce strain during longer carries. The waist belt adjusts up to a maximum circumference of 159 cm.

Best For

The Dooky Terra Nova Baby Carrier is a great option for parents who:

Want one carrier that adapts through several positions from the newborn stage to the toddler years

Value body contact and closeness while keeping their hands free

Want padded straps and a supportive waist belt to help share the load on longer carries

Need something that folds down compactly for easy storage or travel

It may not be the best fit if you're looking for a rigid framed carrier for extended hiking, or a specific wrap or ring sling format.

Safety and use

The Terra Nova meets the applicable safety requirements and is tested according to EN 13209-2:2015.

Disclaimer: Whichever position you use, keep baby's face visible and clear at all times, with the chin off the chest and the airway unobstructed, and check on baby regularly. Confirm that your baby's weight, head control and sitting ability suit the carry position you've chosen. A carrier is not a substitute for a firm, flat sleep surface — if baby falls asleep, transfer them to an appropriate sleep space as soon as it's safe and practical. Be mindful of body-to-body warmth and sun exposure in hot weather, and avoid activities where heat, falls or hot substances could add risk while wearing baby.
